$0.05 / H10c 1867 5c Seated Half Dime - PCGS MS63

The 1867 is a particularly elusive date in the Seated Half Dime series.  With a mintage of just 8,625 coins for proofs and business strikes combined, there are too few to go around.

This example, graded MS63 by PCGS (Cert. No. 83727790) is boldly struck and very pretty, with amber, sea green, blue and some rose color on the obverse, and traces of color at the rim of the mostly brilliant reverse.  There are numerous clash marks and die polish lines, as often are seen on this issue.
