The 1921 Standing Liberty Quarter has a reputation for coming with a very weak date in lower grades, and even on higher grade coins weakness is expected at the bottom of the date. The date on this coin is bold throughout, and defies the norm.
Far from being a full head, this coin is still well struck, with all rivets present on the shield, and the only distractions worth mentioning are two marks on the eagle's right wing.
