$0.50 1862 Seated Liberty Half Dollar 50c - NGC XF45

The Philadelphia half dollar of 1862 is a surprisingly elusive issue, far less available than its common San Francisco counterpart.

Most of the available coins of this date offer up little more than the ability to plug a hole in your set.  This coin is a clear exception, with very attractive toning and a generous offering of luster on both sides.

Despite some miniscule corrosion pits at 9:00 on the rim, NGC still saw fit to grade this coin XF45 (Cert. No. 4436457-007).  I consider it to be net graded to compensate for those few pits, innocuous as they are.

An excellent coin for every collector of this series.
