A stunning original 1918-D Walker here . . . one short, old scratch on Liberty's head is the only thing to pick at on this coin.
Will it straight grade? My instincts tell me no, but I've been surprised many times by what the TPG's will grade.
More important than whether this coin will get holdered or not is how much satisfaction its next custodian will derive from ownership.
Fully lustrous, well-detailed and, except for that little scratch, free of distractions. Natural color is undisturbed and attractive.
A terrific addition for someone who would otherwise spend twice or three times the money on a certified coin of similar character.
