This is a remarkably nice half eagle at the assigned grade.
This 1881 was graded MS62 by PCGS back in their earliest of days (Cert. No. 1253267 and, yes, it is a rattler), and has since been CAC approved.
Captivating is the contrast between the green-gold halo and the amber center on each side of the coin . . . very distinctive.
